Job Title: Entry Level Accountant

Location: Peckville, PA

Job Type: Full-time, In-person

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year

Spherion is seeking an Entry-Level Accountant on behalf of a premier client in the Peckville area. In this role, you will support the accounting department in daily operations, maintain financial health, and ensure seamless financial function. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will collaborate with an established team while gaining valuable, hands-on industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Process A/P vouchers, print vendor payment checks, and scan/file associated documentation.
• Account code credit card expenditures and collect supporting employee documentation.
• Post and process journal entries to guarantee accurate recording of all business transactions.
• Assist with balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements in compliance with legal and organizational guidelines.
• Perform routine bank statement reconciliations.
• Contribute to ongoing accounting projects, including weekly/monthly reporting and budget preparation.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong grasp of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, and manage financial records.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets (MS Excel), MS Office, and QuickBooks.
• High degree of accuracy, keen attention to detail, and a knack for numbers.
• Excellent communication and data entry skills.
