Senior Accounting Manager

We are partnered with a rapidly growing hardtech start-up in El Segundo looking for a Senior Accounting Manager. Role is on-site with flexible hours.

• Comp: 170-185k + bonus & equity

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
• Own consolidated financial reporting, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Research and resolve technical accounting matters under U.S. GAAP
• Partner with auditors and manage annual audit processes
• Drive process improvements across accounting and financial reporting
• Support acquisition integration and accounting standardization initiatives
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and leadership teams
• Mentor accounting staff and help scale the accounting function
• Support ERP enhancements and reporting optimization efforts

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA preferred
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Public accounting experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience leading close, consolidations, and audit activities
• Technical accounting research experience
• Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency
• Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or product-based environments preferred
