Fund Finance Manager

About the Firm

Our client is a midsize private equity and alternative investment firm with a growing Miami presence. The Fund Finance team supports a mix of private equity, hedge fund, and credit strategies, and is seeking an Assistant Vice President to take ownership of fund accounting oversight and investor reporting.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly estimated and final fund NAVs
• Review and analyze NAV reconciliations with third-party administrators and custodians
• Review and reconcile management and performance fee calculations
• Review and reconcile investor capital statements prepared by administrators
• Monitor fund foreign currency exposure and coordinate hedging
• Review customized investor reporting, including time-weighted returns and IRRs
• Review capital call and distribution calculations and related investor notices
• Review monthly revenue reporting and support projections
• Oversee fund administrators and other service providers
• Review fund legal documents for accounting and operational considerations
• Respond to investor requests and support junior team members
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and controls through technology

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of experience in private equity and/or hedge fund accounting, ideally with Big 4 audit experience
• CPA and/or CFA preferred
• Experience with private equity, hedge fund, or fund-of-funds structures
• Strong understanding of general ledger data; accounting systems experience strongly preferred
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Organized, able to manage multiple deliverables, and collaborative
