Key Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant

• Prepare monthly profit-and-loss statements and financial analyses
• Reconcile revenue, accounts receivable, merchant services, banking, and general ledger activity
• Manage deposits, prepayments, deferred revenue, and related accounting transactions
• Prepare sales and use tax filings and support month-end and year-end close activities
• Perform account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and maintain audit-ready documentation
• Support audits, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Five or more years of progressive accounting experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close responsibilities
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, data analysis, and reconciliations
• Experience working with ERP, accounts receivable, banking, merchant processing, point-of-sale, or other integrated financial systems

Preferred

• Experience with sales and use tax compliance and reporting
• Experience with merchant-service reconciliations, payment processing, and chargeback administration
• Background in hospitality, entertainment, event-driven, multi-location, or other high-volume revenue environments
• Experience supporting audits, financial analysis, and operational reporting initiatives
